Welcome to Crane's Meat Processing Web Site.

This is a family owned and operated custom, retail and inspected meat processing plant located at 11657 E Englewood Rd Ashland MO 65010.  They are the only Missouri State Inspected meat processing plant located in Central Missouri for slaughter and processing.  Their business has been going for over 45 years now.  Proud owners are Bill and Linda Crane.

Bill has been in the meat processing business since 1973, when he got out of the Army.  He retired from Gerbes and expanded his home base meat processing plant.  When he started this business, he had a small room off their home that he, his wife and two kids, Christina and John would all work in.  They enjoyed this family time very much and continue to talk about memories they made in their little meat shop.

Today, Bill, his wife Linda and his daughter, Christina work full time in the shop along with his son, John as much as he can get away from his  job in Columbia MO as a Meat Department Manager for Schnucks.  His Grandson, Jack works in the shop everyday also at least 4 hours a day before he goes to his Part Time Meat Department job at Schnucks.  Also, grandson, Jeremiah works several days a week as he is also a full-time college student.  Then they have little Mason, their 7-year-old grandson that would love to help more but his mom says the shop is her quite place 🤣.  This family takes great pride in each other, their shop, every product they produce, and they greatly appreciate all their customers.

Bill was placed into the MAMP Hall of Fame at the 2025 Conference.  This was a great honor for him and his family.  They could not be prouder of    "THE BOSS".

As they go through difficult times with Bill's health issues, they continue to stay strong and keep the business going as Bill always wanted.  Christina and John plan to keep Crane's Meat Processing LLC growing in the years to come.  So, keep an eye on our website and facebook page as you never know what they are up to.

 

They do have a retail side to their shop with a store front and also take phone and internet orders that are filled within 24 business hours.   

 

Crane's also has the resources to get whole, half or quarter of beef, as well as whole or half hogs from local farmers.  They will process the beef and/or hog to your specifications.  The livestock they locate for you are locally raised.
